Since 1975, AINDC
has been dedicated to the improvement of the Phillips
neighborhood, located only three minutes from Downtown
Minneapolis. East Franklin Avenue was poor and depressed,
with a history of crime, drug dealing and prostitution.
AINDC took a big risk by investing in the renovation and
revitalization of this diverse neighborhood, rich in American
Indian heritage.
Signs of renewal are easy to see with the Ancient Traders
Market, Maria’s Café, landscaping and more.
Franklin Bank has been the lead bank in this project.
